and Camilla Nesbitt. Taodue is now a leader in Italian television
market: in the year 2002 and 2003 it has been the most successful
TV fiction production for the Italian market providing 37prime

Since the beginning of the 90’ies Taodue
has been producing TV fiction positively characterizing several
seasons of the programming of CANALE 5 with great hits as the
mini series “La Uno Bianca”, the “Ultimo”
saga, and “Distretto di Polizia”, a series that has
so far reached the fifth season of broadcasting.
Taodue’s ultimate goal has always been to
produce films with a strong realistic inspiration; as a matter
of fact, current and historical events keep on inspiring our projects
and us to a leading position in the Italian television market.
The high quality of our products has led to a
privileged relationship with Mediaset: in the first part of season
2004-2005 Canale 5 broadcasted successfully two new Taodue’s
productions: the 12 episodes’ series “R.I.S.”,
, innovative both aesthetically and in its issues centred on the
team of Italian Scientific Police Department, that turned out
to be one of the best series opening in the story of Italian fiction.
Taodue produced also the mini series “Paolo Borsellino”
based on the life of the heroic judge killed in 1992 by Mafia
killers, an homage to the social commitment that has always been
the brand mark of TaoDue. Paolo Borsellino was one of the biggest
success of Italian Television, with a share of more than 40% and
obtained general applause by TV critics.
In the season 2005 Mediaset is going to broadcast Karol. Story
of a man who became Pope, the biography of Karol Wojtyla from
his younghood until his election to the Papacy. The miniseries,
that had the assistance of Wojtyla’s nearest collaborators,
will focus on the development of the religious vocation of Wojtyla
as an answer to the violences and sufferings brought in Poland
by Nazism and Communism. Karol has already been sold to many European
and extra-European countries.
